We are continually involved in research to help improve the way healthcare is delivered at a local, national and international level.
Our wide ranging research aims to ensure that our core purpose, values and objectives are being achieved.
Research is carried out by staff employed by CWP, university staff and students, and occasionally by pharmaceutical companies.
How can research help?
Research can be defined as an activity which seeks to provide new knowledge. This knowledge may help understanding with:
- How ill health may occur.
- How to prevent ill health, and improve wellbeing.
- How to improve diagnosis, treatment and care.
- How to find better ways of providing health care.
We hold our annual research and development afternoon on the last Wednesday in January (or nearby date): 12.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
