CWP scoops Gold Award for its engaging magazine

by CWP News - 07 November 2016

Locally produced magazine, CWP Life, was awarded Gold for ‘Best Publication’ by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) at the North West PRide Awards Ceremony (3 November 2016).

Produced by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP), the magazine was co-created by health care professionals, patients and carers to promote local support available and shine a light on real life experiences of people living with health conditions.

The magazine was commended as a great example of good practice with a comprehensive approach to research and planning and its simple, clear and engaging design.

Avril Devaney, CWP Director of Nursing and Therapies, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised with this prestigious award and would like to thank the 300 people who contributed to the design of this publication and the many more who are featured in each edition. As well as share information about the Trust, this publication provides a fantastic opportunity to learn from people who access our services and their families and to give well-deserved recognition to our staff."

One reader said: “I just wanted to say thank you for CWP Life…my mum is currently in hospital and it is suspected she has the early stages of dementia, so the article is particularly relevant for my family. We don't know yet what services are available in the area or what my mum will need, now or later, so this article has been the start of our journey.”
