Fantastic Facilities are Team of the Year
The Facilities Team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) recently won “Team of the Year” at an awards event held in London.
Honoured at the Building Better Healthcare Awards, the recognition marked a triumphant year for the dedicated team from CWP. Highlights of their award’s submission included tremendous work the team had carried out at the Trust’s Springview and Saddlebridge sites, as well as efforts put in across the CWP footprint to improve and maintain an excellent care environment for our service users.
In addition, their submission to the awards also sought to display how the team embodied the core values of CWP, which are Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment.
CWP senior facilities manager, David Pearson, was thrilled with the award win. He said, “We were absolutely delighted to be honoured with such a prestigious award. It really is a fitting tribute to the fantastic work of the team over the last year. I would like to especially thank everyone on the facilities team at CWP for their hard work and dedication and for making my job such a pleasure. I would also like to thank the award committee for selecting us for this accolade.”
He added, “This year has seen us undertake a number of challenging projects, which we have enjoyed immensely. We are committed to improving the care environment, for the benefit of our service users, at our Trust, and this award is the icing on the cake for, what has been, a satisfying year.”
CWP chief executive, Sheena Cumiskey, was equally delighted with the award win for our facilities team. She said, “On behalf of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, I would like to thank our superb facilities team for their tremendous hard work over the last year. I would also like to congratulate them on this well-deserved award. It is a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication that they put into their work on a daily basis.”
