Service Improvement Blog - December 2018
As we enter the festive time of year, the team have been busy as always in helping people be the best they can be.
Firstly, we’d love to congratulate our latest Introduction to Improvement Cohort on completing the 3 and a half day course! The engagement the 18 participants showed and the variety of improvement projects and ideas in the room was fantastic to see. It is going to be exciting to see the tools and resources being put to good use throughout the Trust and improving our fantastic services. Hopefully, in coming months we’ll be able to share on this forum the work that has been done by some of our great colleagues.
New Year – New Name
Secondly, this may technically be the last of the “SI Blog” but don’t worry! The Service Improvement team are making sure that we are more visible than ever and to encourage the great work that is being done throughout the Trust we are becoming the Transformation and Change team to more accurately reflect the work that we do day in, day out to ensure that the Trust is continuously improving.

CWP Q Network – Tuesday 18 December
The second of our CWP Q Network events was held at Sycamore House with great success. It was great to see i2i graduates presenting and sharing their work in the Trust and getting valuable feedback from other Q Members.
Kate Baxter (Healthcare Quality Improvement Manager) presented a project she was working on around reducing self-harm and was pleased to receive feedback from the group of members in attendance.
15Seconds30Minutes was also introduced to attendants which is a social movement to reduce frustration and increase joy in the workplace. The essence of 15S30M is that by spending 15 seconds now, you can save 30minutes for someone else later. All of our members have made a pledge that they will take an extra 15 seconds somewhere in their day to save you 30 minutes later in that process.
More information on 15Seconds30Minutes can be found here on their website.
The next CWP Q Network event will be hosted on Wednesday 3 April 2019 so get in touch if you’re a member and want to book your place early to avoid missing out!
As mentioned in previous blogs we have a number of upcoming events and training that can be attended. Click the links below for more information:
Our Improvement Readiness sessions can now be accessed through ESR, and we are already taking bookings for our April i2i cohort.
