Sheena's Blog: Commitment to continual improvement
I’d like to start this week’s blog with a huge ‘thank you’ for all you who who kept our services running over the Easter holiday period, without you we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide our ‘outstanding’ care to the people who access our services.
The next area I would like to share with you is our opportunity to build on our overall ‘good’ CQC rating and to further shine and celebrate the excellent care that is delivered across CWP services, as the CQC will be undertaking further inspection visits. I’d like to thank you all for your sustained effort and hard work in continuously improving services, specifically in focusing on those areas that the CQC identified as ‘requiring improvement’ during our Trustwide inspection in June 2015.
Since the inspection we have undertaken a lot of work to focus and improve on those areas identified within the reports. We are confident that the further inspections will enable us to demonstrate the improvements we have all made, and have the opportunity to have a further positive impact on the ratings awarded.
The visits will enable the CQC to reassess the rating awarded to individual services during the initial inspection and we therefore have a real potential opportunity to move those individual service ratings which were assessed as ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’.
We are committed to supporting you to welcome the inspection team, and will be hosting a series of roadshows over the next few weeks. I encourage you to book on to a roadshow as it is a great chance to reflect and celebrate the improvements made.
So that’s all from me today and I am off now to do some work on our Operational Plan for 2016/17 that is due for submission to Monitor in a week’s time ! The next financial year is going to continue to be challenging but with some great opportunities to continue to develop and improve our services. Unfortunately you will have to wait to read my next blog to find out more!
Very best wishes,
