Cheshire East Young Persons Substance Misuse Service

Cheshire East Substance Misuse Service is part of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust providing support to all residents of Cheshire East. The Young Persons section of this service caters for anyone under age 25.

We provide assessment, 1-1 support and group work to help young people address problems with drugs or alcohol. This may mean to achieve abstinence or to reduce the impact of their substance use. Our approach is person-centred and is led by the young persons need. The focus of our interventions is recovery-based. If pharmacological interventions are required we have prescribers on both our bases to supervise this.  We can also signpost to other agencies for support with issues such as housing, mental health etc.

We have two main bases (see details below) but we aim to see young people in an environment that they feel most comfortable. This may be in their own home, school, college, GP practice or a café.
