How can I get involved with research?
If you would like to be involved in helping to contribute to the design of future studies, or with reviewing planned research studies, we will be very pleased to hear from you. This would not necessarily require you to travel to the Trust on any regular basis.
If you would like to take part, we are able to meet with you, and provide guidance of what might be involved. It may be possible to attend Trust research training courses, or to meet on a more informal basis.
For studies that are being planned, there may be opportunities to contribute to the design of the study; what is planned to be investigated and how this might best be achieved.
In particular, we would be interested in finding out more about how research is viewed from the perspective of residents, clients, carers and patients. For studies that are seeking approval, we are able to send you a copy of the summary, and ask if you have any comments that you would like us to consider. Support and training will be available.
We stage an annual research event where researchers can present and discuss their findings, to which you are warmly invited.
