Local GP surgery opens its doors to community
A local GP surgery is inviting residents to find out more about the NHS services on their doorstep.
Westminster Surgery, delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, has recently been revamped to provide more surgeries and waiting space. The team, which includes two GPs, nurses and administrative support team, are holding an open event on Wednesday 25 May from 6pm-9pm to highlight the amount of services on offer at Westminster Surgery.
Jude Chalmers, deputy clinical services manager, has been key to organising the event and is keen to show just how accessible local health services are.
“We have invited several of our partner organisations in to show just how many things contribute to our health and well-being. We will be on hand to explain health matters such as why blood pressure is important, how to manage long term conditions, and how to prevent chronic disease.
“We will also have guests from local well-being groups such as Mums 2 Marathons who will be keen to sign up any new members, as well as a chance to speak to health professionals about general lifestyle advice, and other local support services such as the food bank.”
If you would like to find out more about the event, please call Westminster Surgery on 0151 355 4864 or follow @CWPNHS on Twitter.
