Local NHS Trust involves public in forward planning event
CWP recently invited local service users and carers to an ‘Open Space Event’ to discuss the future of its services.
The event saw Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) staff and members of the public come together to discuss how to take recovery and involvement forward and included group discussions and feedback sessions.
Involvement means ‘no decisions about me without me.’ It allows local people to improve CWP services by sharing their ideas and experiences.
Sheena Cumiskey, Chief Executive at CWP, said: “We are committed to involving patients, carers and the public in the work that we do. By working together we can improve our services and ensure that the best quality of care and treatment is provided. The Open Space Event was an excellent example of how well this works; the day was a great success and has given us a clearer view on the future of recovery and involvement at CWP.”
