NIHR definition of research

"Research can be defined as the attempt to derive generalisable or transferable new knowledge to answer or refine relevant questions with scientifically sound methods."

In lab.JPG The NIHR Portfolio includes a wide range of research, from large-scale clinical trials to studies focused on improving services. These studies are usually undertaken as a collaboration between the NHS, the university sector and pharmaceutical companies.  For a study to be considered for inclusion on the NIHR Portfolio, it must align with the NIHRs aims and objectives:-  Who we are | NIHR
