Mulberry ward provides specialist inpatient care for adults and older people with serious functional mental ill health including schizophrenia, psychosis and depression.

It is a 26-bed mixed gender spacious modern ward, on one level, and features an open garden, courtyard, gym facilities and all en-suite bedrooms. This ensures it meets the needs of people with physical disabilities or complex health needs, as well as complying with current guidance from the Care Quality Commission regarding privacy and dignity.

Protected Therapy Time

Whilst all inpatient care is therapeutic, Mulberry Ward operates Protected Therapy Time (PTT) to support dedicated time for patients and staff without interruptions, including phone calls, meetings and visitors.
