The CWP Armed Forces Community Network are hosting a Armed Forces Celebration Day event on:

Monday 19 June, 9am – 1pm at Sycamore House, Ellesmere Port CH65 9HX

This will be the first time that CWP has put on an event such as this and highlights our ongoing commitment to working with and supporting the armed forces community, and to the organisations that we work with. The event will showcase some of the activities which the Trust are involved in to support the armed forces community and provide stakeholders with an opportunity to exhibit and showcase the work that they are involved in: IAPT armed forces champions, Veterans in Mind and the local army reserve units are just some of the organisations who will be available for advice and information.

“We’re really looking forward to this, our very first Armed Forces Community Network event” said Prof Bhairavi Sapre, Armed Forces clinical champion “Everyone is welcome. It promises to be a great opportunity for the armed forces community to all meet in one place and catch up with friends and colleagues who have served, and for everyone to help celebrate Armed Forces Week with us.”

She continued “We have a number of organisations exhibiting on the day who’ll be available to talk to people and offer advice and information on a range of topics that may affect veterans in their daily lives.”

Prof Sapre is also delighted to announce that CWP has achieved the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award as part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme"This is a fantastic achievement and highlights our commitment to supporting and encouraging recruitment from the Armed Forces community – congratulations, and another step towards Gold!".
