The ADHD pathway for Cheshire residents using CWP services is changing from 1st November 2025, with arrangements being finalised with our commissioners.
This change is in response to the high demand and long waiting times for people to access a diagnostic assessment or when they transfer from other services (for example, reach the age of 18 and access adult services).
The new pathway will be wider and will include options around GP assessment/review and third sector support, based on where you live in Cheshire.
Until the end of October 2025, the service at CWP will focus as follows:
For new referrals:
Any referrals received for people who will be new to the CWP adult service are being held to go forward to the new pathway from 1st November 2025. This includes referrals for people who may have been diagnosed and treated in other services previously.
As you are not currently receiving ADHD treatment from our adult ADHD service, please contact your GP or Cheshire and Merseyside ICB at: enquiries
For existing patients under the CWP service:
We will confirm arrangements for appointments from November 2025 onwards, once the pathway has been agreed.
Please bear with us while we work with our partners to improve the pathway for Cheshire residents. We will update this page once the arrangements are finalised.
