Local NHS Trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) has achieved the highest score out of all Trusts nationally in four categories, following the publication of results from the 2023 Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) survey of mental health community services.

The four categories where CWP has achieved the highest scores are: ‘Overall experience’, ‘Mental health team’, ‘Involvement in care’ and ‘Respect, dignity and compassion’.

Jo Watts, Associate Director of Special Mental Health Services at CWP, comments: “We are so proud of these results because they are based on the views of the people who use our services and complement our recent national NHS Staff Survey results. I would like to say a massive thank you to all our staff who deliver such fantastic care in continued challenging times, especially as services deal with the significant increase in demand for support.

“Through collaboration with our patients we have strengthened the access to our services and continue to enhance our pathways with community partners including the development of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme with GP colleagues.

“We are constantly evolving to meet the needs of the people within our community and will continue to reflect on where we can improve, including the recent introduction of patient reported outcome measures - which is designed to measure quality of life, and quality of care over time.”
